2 Planes or more?

Postby gonehaywire » Sat Oct 23, 2004 9:46 pm

Hello everyone,
(2 part question)

I'm new here I just got 2004 the other day and I enjoy it very much I even added some planes today such as the Thunderbird one and downloaded the afterburner effects. But I was wondering is it possible or even if their is download of having more then 1 plane flying? I think where I saw the Thunderbird one their was a package where 5 or more fly at sametime as a group in a airshow?

Also I was reading through the forums about changing smoke color's and saw a link to DEMO_SMOKE but it said for 2002 will it work for 2004 and if so do i open up DEMO_Effects folder and copy all the files into effects folder or just copy DEMO_Effects folder and put in effects? And will it work for Thunderbird planes? Thanks for a great site :)

G'day and welcome to SimV,

As for your questions:

  • The picture was probably from a multiplayer session to show the different planes in the package at the same time.
  • Most effects from fs2002 work in fs2004, and I would imagine you copy the effects from inside the folder to the effects file.  However, I recommend that you read the readme file.

Hope that helps and have fun.

Keep looking through the downloads. I remember seeing an airshow demostration team add on that gives you more than one airplane to fly. The way I think they are doing it is to create a model with all three or four airplanes and you actually fly that. Actually it sounds more like a novelty since you can't really do anything more than fly in formation from takeoff to touchdown.

The effects should be compatable from 2002 to 2004. I don't guarantee it but I'm pretty sure they are.

Look for the RAF Red Arrows demo team. They fly the BAE Hawk. Its designed for FS2K2 but works well in FS2004. They even have sceneries of the home airfields such as Scampton and Valley.

hi buddy ! may I suggest if youre looking for more action in the sky give multiplayer a go  and fly in real time with other pilots from all over the world . and then theres teamspeak for communication as well - takes flight sim to the next level!!!!! fly on  8)
keep thy airspeed up lest the ground shalt surely come from from below and smithe thee!
