Ben,

This question depends a LOT on what a person typically flies....... GA and Commercial are more realistic with a yoke (excpt Airbus)... and military fihghters and early "everything" .... a joystick.

For the "heavies" there is no comparison between the yoke and pedals and a joystick.  Makes a world of difference.

best,

..............john

HAve a stick a Saitek (of course ;) ) Cyborg 3d Rumble force.
Also have a Saitek R440 Force Feedback Wheel with pedals.

Would that work, John, for a yoke?

Cheers

I've been using the Saitek X-45 forever now, and I love it.  I'd love to use a yoke/throttle/rudder combo, but I've yet to find one to my liking that won't cost thousands....I used to use a CH yoke, but I found it very toy-like.

I may get the pedals, but a stick is more versatile...

I use a Top Gun Thrustmaster. It has a stick, throttle and rudder. Maybe I buy a yoke someday. For now I am satisfied with this one.

I've had a CH FLightsim Yoke for about three years now and have used it maybe five times...  Too bulky for me.

Wish you would have allowed "both" as an option.  I use my Logitech for my "rag and tube" flying and a yoke for the other aircraft.  In all aircraft, my ProPedals are a must!  USB controllers are great because it's a snap to switch out the controllers.

There should be an option for both Yoke and Stick. That's why I'm making The Flight Sim Config Swapper. ;D

Presently I am using the X-45 by Saitek, though I am considering a very good yoke and pedal combo

Probably the AFCS III Yoke and the ELITE Rudder Pedals, then add the ELITE King Air Throttle

Anyone have the above? They are a bit expensive, and if they aren't good, then I dont want to sink such money into them.

I really want the CH yoke and pedals. Are they good? Some people say not. I'm currently using the Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 stick, but I mainly fly GA aircraft. I think a yoke would be easier.

I think the CH yoke would benefit from a little back pressure added to it.  It feels too light and nowhere near realistic enough.
