I am a lot interested to buy FS2004 and I have only FS2000 but I am noy allowed to do so because it costs a lot in India. Please help me

Maybe cou can get it cheaper from E-Bay. But shipping to India could cost a lot.

I know you would have to pay shipping, but if keep the shipping time reasonable, it might not cost as much.

I think codered what he meant ,it not a matter of price its about the cost of life in other countries example:in my country to afford it $40= would cost 15 days salary,pehaps its harder or less in India,instead in United States maybe a single day work would give you a combat fs as an extra,for buy fs9

Yes wages are relative along with the cost of living in a lot of countries.
Avijeet if you can't afford FS9 then pick up 2002 pro, there are plenty of good freeware add-ons that make it almost as good as FS9, and there is a wealth of planes and scenery already available for it.
Good luck with finding FS whichever route you go

You hit the nail on the head.  THAT is the issue.  This is a "Made in the USA" product that carries a USA type price.  Therein lies the problems for those in countries whose monetary exchange rate is not near on a par with that of the USA.

Avijeet, I feel for you on that issue.  Not any easy solutions.  India needs it's own homegrown flight simulator  ;).  With all the great programmers over there.... it should eventualy happen.

In the area that I live, a burger flipper (typically a teenager with little in the way of acrued job skills or experience) will make about $9.00 per hour.  Official minimum wage varies by location (states control some of this) and is in the $6.25 an hour range.....but few employers can get people to work at this wage.  A skilled carpenter around here charges about $35-40 an hour.  Car mechanics get around $40-50 an hour.   An average lawyer gets about $125.00 an hour.  We won't even mention what pluumbers make an hour  ;) !

So the typical "McJob" person here can pretty much buy fs2004 with the total net take home proceeds (after taxes) of a day's work.

I am sure that comparable jobs in other parts of the world make very different wages when adjusted to the valuation of the US Dollar.  

But the price of the simulator and hardware additions and such.... if they are US products to start with....... stays pretty much based on the US economy.  Places them out of reach for many people in other countries.

I sell a small amount of my artwork internationally.  An example of this situation for me is South Africa.... I couldn't really sell my work in SA...... a place a SA friend thinks would really apprciate my style of work.  One US Dollar is about the equiv. of $10 South African Dollars.....so a $100 piece here would be a $1000 piece there..... plus the shipping and import/export issues.

apart from the dollars you could live in Europe - we can't afford a plumber too.
Actually, FS 9 was slightly cheaper in Europe than in the US - shipping or not (I hope we have the same version).

Tried it all but it costs about 100$ here in India.

Although it is not FS9, there is this Flightgear a free, open-source flight sim.

I'm uncertain to how good it is, but looks like fun if playing with files and tweaking is something you like. I'm going to download it to see what it is all about. Some of the screen shots make it look interesting and its free worth a try!

 What are your specs on your computer?  If it is a lower end machine forget about trying to aford Fs9 because you will need a better computer.  I just upgraded my AMD 2400+ 512mb ddr ram Geforce 4 Mx 440 64mb comp with a gig of ram and a FX5200 128mb video card for it to produce all the goodies and run smooth.  Just something to think about and if you save up your money it will be well worth it imo.  Cheers!

Avijeet, out of curiosity, and please don't take this the wrong way, but what is it exactly you're asking for?

Avjeet, look, all the call center jobs are moving to India. They just fired 5000 from Norwich Union in UK and moved them to India. Same in US and Canada, if anything goes wrong with your Dell or HP then you end up calling India. If you get one of those jobs, surely you'll be able to afford FS9 and all the hardware you need?
