I installed a plane... got an error on startup... so I took the plane off... still have the error. Here's a pic!

Hi, that's a normal problem with older planes, don't worry too much. the thing is that fssound is an old file used by previous versions of fs.
Add this lines to the end of your fs9.cfg file and the problem will probably disapear:)
[OldModules]
FSSound.dll=1
FSUIPC.dll=1

I agree Ben, however, if you take Cleobis' suggestion and modify your FS9.cfg file as recommended you don't even get that annoying "Error-FS9 message" during FS 2004 startup.
