Can someone help me correct an error I keep getting. "ModName: ntdll.dll", I get this when I try to exit FS9.
It happens mostly after I have AI's at my AFCAD airport.

Sounds like a corrupted file to me. Try replacing it with the original from your FS CDs and see if that corrects it

I looked for it, but couldn't find it. So instead of a compleat reinstall I restored back to a time that I didn't have this problem. BIG mistake, somehow all of my aircraft config files for only my AI aircraft got deleted.

Steve,
From a Google for ntdll.dll I found this preliminary info.
This is a know problem, not specific to FS9. 'ntdll.dll' is an XP file. The problem occurs when some Windows updates or some 3rd party software update or replace the file with newer/different versions.
Dont know of an easy fix yet. It apparently involves rolling back to a 'good' version. I'll do a check of the Microsoft Knowledge Base when I get a chance, to see if they have a fix.
Cheers,
Dave

Thanks Dave:
That really explanes it as might have started right after I installed the SPS 2 update.
I did a system restore and that appears to have corrected the problem, however this for some strange reason wiped out my aircraft.cfg files in all my AI folders, including my backup files on a seperate hd.

Just a thought Steve. This might save a lot of messing around. If you can reverse the System Restore, save backup copies of those CFG files & any other files you lost to a remote drive, a CD or even a floppy. Then go back to before you installed the update. It's only a guess but I think it's worth a try.

Hager: we are thinking along the same lines, however it will have to be to a cd because I had already copied the intire FS9 folder to a seperate HD, and even those files have missing config files.
SPS 2 is really becoming a pain in the a$$

DLL mess...
There's a security problem with that one on Win2000/2003 IIS server, probably got the wrong version.
System restore can be switched off for specific drives
I have a dutch version of the file... probably won't work on your machine, but i think it's possible to get the file from a slipstreamed XP with SP2 setup CD

Ivan, I didn't d/l SPS 2, I ordered it on a cd from M$. With several computers in the house it made more sence to have the cd.
But I dont think I'll be installing it on any machine.
