I have seen this problem before but have forgoten how to fix it >> I just downloaded the Hawker Hunter WB188 for FS2004 flys great but you can not land it .. It will always sinks into runway Don

I seen it too but in fs2002,are you sure that model its for fs9 or 2002,hmm seems like *.mdl problem  :)

The problem can be solved, I believe, by going into the aircraft.cfg (use Notepad to do this) and changing the line "static_cg_height=5.3" which is found under the [contact_points] heading in the aircraft.cfg.
I found it best to change the height= number to 6, but perhaps each aircraft will be different.
This solution to my problem was kindly supplied to me by Silver Fox441 and it immediately cured the difficulty.

Thanks Lysander I went from 4.9 to 6 I can here the plane drop when it comes up on runway prio to take off but no damage I made a couple of landings without sinking but it was tough ... I hope some one else downloads this plane and lets me know how they do . It is the Hawker hunter fs2004 pg 26 under miltary on simviation... Don

Glad something helped a bit.  Perhaps if you increase or decrease the number further - trial and error- it will reduce the problem.  I seem to recall that it was necessary to go from eight down to six so that my aircraft didn't plunge into the runway as soon as the flight "fly now" commenced. The scene opened, the plane seemed to jump up, then plunge down hard, leaving the wheels buried in the tarmac.
