Hi yaw

I'm having a probelem with the textures and FS9 scenery. When I swich views say from the panel to out sied fo the aircraft the aircraft is gray and so is the other air trafic. The scenery will somtimes just diapaer. Like the water is one the land has turned blue.

I updated the DirectX9.0b to 9.0c  could this have anything to do with it?? :(

might check and see if your graphics drivers need to be updated for 9.0c.

Cheers,

Heya Batman,

Go to:

http://www.guru3d.com

Look on the right side of the screen -- you will see a vertical blue bar.  Down toward the bottom you will see a header lableled Download.  I think the first item under Download is the ForceWare Drivers (NVIDIA) section.  Click on it.

The latest (non-Windows XP WHQL certified) NVIDIA ForceWare Driver for Windows XP is version 66.32.  I haven't tried this one yet.  I'm getting excellent results from the version 61.76 driver.  One thing to note is that if you download a ForceWare Driver, one driver version fits all NVIDIA products!  You don't have to spend hours looking for a driver specifically for the NVIDIA 5200.  It's included in the download.

Thanks for your help

I downloaded  NVIDIA 61.76 driver. Well it seems to be helping, but  it's still doing the same thing, but  not naerly as bad.

Heya Batman,

Have you recently installed the new cloud textures by Mike Woolsey found here:

http://www.simviation.com/fs2004scenery29.htm

I had the EXACT same problem after installing these cloud textures.  I tried about four things and found a fix.  So tell me do you have the waterzone extended water effects add-on installed also?

In my case I discovered that (for some unknown reason)there was a conflict in textures if one installs the new cloud textures OVER the Waterzone effects.

What I did was restore the default MS 2004 cloud and water textures from backups.  I then re-installed the add-ons in this order:

1.  New Cloud Textures
2.  Waterzone Effects

FS 2004 has worked like a champion for me since.

Hay thank you for the reply

Ya I did install a new  water texture.
So what I need to do is uninstall FS9? I did'ent install any clouds. But I get what you are saying I will try uninstalling FS9, and reinstalling and see if that works.

Thanks agen ;D

Looking  at drivers from Nvidia's driver page, 61.77 is the first to list 9.0c compatibility, while 61.76 lists 9.0b compatibility..so the driver might still be an issue.
