Hi Dave,
Seems OK to me, but I'll let you decide:

Thnx, Carl for your informative post. Nothing quite like dealing with the facts! By golly (if i can say 'by golly') we flew right by there last night.

Posted elsewhere:

"things we learned flying from LIMJ-LFMU
. . .  the terrain from Genoa to Bezier (Tuscany-Provence) rises over 10k'
we had to climb our favourite WWA turbo prop to 12k
after descending into Provence (inland passing LFMN) we ran into visible
moisture (overcast)
the crew quickly completed and filed an IFR flightplan and upon receiving
ATC clearance we were suddenly in the clear again (realworld FS9 weather)
so promptly canceled our clearance and continued VFR to land at Montperrier
LFMT (does Perrier water come from here?)
a nice (not Nice, LFMN) flight of some 275nm
interestingly enough, the FS9 generated IFR plan followed the coastline ;-)
maybe we'll follow that route next time"

bill (western canada, CYYJ)

p.s. the location of Genoa (landfill-by-the-sea) is similar to Nice

No probs - If the area's not realistic enough for you - you can download the terrain mesh for that area (or any come to think of it)HERE

Hope this helps some more ::)

Hi David.
Give me a clue as to where I can find the free addon of Nice airport that you say is around please..........doing a search for Nice just gives a load of nice (as opposed to Nice) airports. ???

I have the terrain mesh mentioned and that is great, but would maybe like to have a Nice-r looking airport to go with it ;D

Thanks..Commoner

Hi David,

To install it just unzip to your add-on scenery folder - it will sort the rest out for you, then boot-up FS on the main screen (create flight, select flight, lessons etc.....)
There should "settings" at the bottom of the page, then go to scenery library, add area and browse to the folder named "nica" click add for that folder.

FS Will tell you to restart, do that, reload and go to Nice.
You SHOULD see a difference - I did (with settings quite low too)

Hope this helps and Happy Flying :) ;)

London city DOES need touching up - however the only d/loads I found for it, don't do it any justice.

They add the new 'hold' area at the end of 28 but it doesn't seem to function properly :(

No-one seems to have updated the buildings sadly :(

I'm working on it - but with my design experience, it will probably take until the release of Flight Sim 2997 to finish ;D :P

I'll continue searching for better versions for now
