Help: What Should My FS9 Effects Folder Look Like

Postby MIKE JG » Tue Sep 14, 2004 5:24 pm

Can someone help me.  I think I'm missing a very important file from my main FS9 Effects folder.  I just tried to install an afterburner effect and the installation calls for a couple of files to be dropped into the FS9/Effects/Texture folder.

Does the FS9/Effects folder have a "texture" folder contained within it??  Cause mine doesn't.

If so this may explain a lot of things that I haven't been able to figure out.

Yes it does have a texture folder, which files are you missing?

Well, Houston we have a problem... ;D

I simply don't have a texture folder in my FS9/Effects folder.  I must have pulled it out a long time ago thinking it was in the wrong place.  I may have even deleted it. :o

Can you tell me what the first file in your FS9/Effects/Texture file is?  Maybe I can hunt the missing folder or files down and restore it.

I may have put these files in different folders thinking that's where they belonged.

The file names are: fx_*.bmp

I don't have any *.bmp in my effects folder only in the effects/texture folder.

First file i have is fx_1.bmp

Well after 5 months of chasing this problem, I may be the happiest user of FS9 on the planet right now.
