Specific File?

Postby scoochy » Sun Sep 12, 2004 11:44 pm

Is there a way to find out what specific file FS is crashing on when loading. Ran into a problem where it crashes at 56 percent, but only during day flights. I get the lil Xp error report, and for mod it says "Unknown" Lotta help that is. Would be nice to find out what part of the load FS is not liking so I can fix that specific part instead of doing another complete re-install.......

This is not going to be much help but it sounds like you have a texture problem. Since it only seems to happen when trying to display daytime textures. You might want to try replacing the default texture by copying form one of the disk.
Unless you have added textures if you have try removing them first. Just move them out of the folder.
I do not think that this would be a scenery problem since the scenery is the same day or night it is the textrue that changes.
Sorry but I do not know which scenery FS uses for day and knowing M$ the file names wont help either as they are usually some meanigless number. 8)

Were me....... I'd start by deleting the LAST piece of add-on scenery that I installed just before it started having problems.  It is likely that has a bad texture in it for daytime use.

Just a thought.
