Capturing video

Postby jordonj » Wed Sep 08, 2004 1:32 pm

I can't remember if I asked this before...

I would like to make some videos flying, but I don't know how to take the recorded flights and make them into editable files.  I do have a video editing program.  Suggestions (maybe this is too tall an order...)

There is a program called FRAPS that allows video capture, but unless you have a top of the line computer, all videos will come out very choppy.

The only successful method I have been able to use for my videos is hooking up a DVD camcorder to my video card and capturing it on the camera.  I then send the video to my computer and then convert from DVD to windows media format.

Could these videos be uploaded here at SimV (assuming I can make it work).

I couldn't get your links by the way (they must have taken them down)...

Also,I plan to do these to music (Rush/Limelight, Terry Jacks/Seasons in the Sun, still thinking of others)...would that be a problem (regarding the copyright)?
