Installed the new cloud textures by Mike Woolsey found here http://www.simviation.com/fs2004scenery29.htm. Seems to be aproblem with them though. I can load up to "adjusting scenery objects". It crashes and point to terrain.dll as being the problem. I uninstalled these textures and put the Originals back in (there is an original texture re-install program that comes with it) and FS worked fine again. I wanted to e-mail the author to make him aware, but no address was supplied. Wondering if anyone else has problems with these new textures.

I put these textures in place and I know of at least two others in these forums who did the same. I don't think either of them had any troubles and I didn't either. Sorry I don't have any real info for you. I thought I would just let you know maybe it's something with your system or your installation. Good luck. The new textures are worth it.
Just wondering, did you delete the default to make the new textures work, I am still trying to get this into my program, I thought the install program would just put it in the right texture spot but doesn't seem to work on my system, maybe need faster graphics card???
Well dangit, tried installing the textures again, no avail, tried loading both a create a flight and load on up, create a flight crashed at 68 percent, load a flight crashed at 5 percent. Really buggin' me now.....

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, however, I just got home from work.
I had the EXACT same problem after installing these cloud textures. I tried about four things and found a fix. So tell me do you have the waterzone extended water effects add-on installed also?
In my case I discovered that (for some unknown reason)there was a conflict in textures if one installs the new cloud textures OVER the Waterzone effects.
What I did was restore the default MS 2004 cloud and water textures from backups. I then re-installed the add-ons in this order:
Funny, I had the same results from using the new cloud textures. I ended up going back to the FSW textures. Perhaps someone could post some good screenshots in the screenshot forum to see if intsalling the new cloud textures, then re-installing the water textures is worth it.
I am sure they look great, but after tinkering with the new cloud textures to get them to work, I have lost interest....
Thanks....

The water textures I have are by Bill Lyons. I tried installing the new cloud textures and viola. CRASH.
Time to install the old ones again
I went back to the old ones. It took some time, but I finally was able to get my cloud and water textures backt to the quality I had before. I really don't like some of those self installers. I just don't trust them.
I saw some screenshots saying they were the new clouds, but they didn't look anybetter than FSW.

Welp, after a clean install of FS, the first thing I went to install were these cloud textures, still no go. Is this meaning that these are incompatible with a stock FS9? Kinda find that hard to believe.......
