IFR Downunder?

G'day everyone, this looks like a really cool site. I was just wanting to know how easy it is to use FS 2004 for IFR missions in New Zealand and Australia. I tried a few using FS 2000 pro and became very frustrated because although I could plan a flight ok, when it came time to do the bussines, the navaids wouldn't come alive. I'm really just after something to help me start to get the process and patter going again for various local approaches etc. Will it do the job? Scenary is of secondary importance to me at this stage as I'll be more interested in what the clocks are telling me. I'd appreciate any comments from you guys before I spend the bucks on the software.
Cheers...
Pete.

Hello mate welcome to the sim.
I do not think you will be dissappointed with fs2004.
If you are a little rusty on ILS approaches try some of the lessons. I am from the USA but have made several flights to sydney in a B747-400 the ILS works great Thinking about flying around the island in either the baron or mooney and try out some of the other runways. 8)

Hey, thanks very much for your help. I suspect that even if I can't get to some of the smaller regional airports, I'll be able to download a patch or two to help. I'm primarily interested in the routes that certain domestic operators fly within New Zealand using Saab 340s and ATRs. Any further comments would be welcome. Great! I think this site will be excellant.
See you later
Pete.

Thanks Alrot. I look forward to trying it out. Hey, those artillery pieces you've got there look awesome. I know this is drifting off the subject in hand but ust how much can you see through them?
