Default Piper - Huh???

Postby benbo3001 » Sat Aug 28, 2004 12:54 pm

In the file library I see a default piper teaxture fix on page 2 for FS2004. Ok, there is only one version of FS2004, so why am I not seeing this "default piper", and what kind is it? Archer, Cherokee? is it an AI that needs to be made into a normal one, if so, how do I do that?

THanks a bunch

The one on Pg2 is for the flyable Piper aircraft(Piper Cub). You should be able to see it on your aircraft list since it came with the game. The Cherokee is the one that is an AI aircraft that needs to made normal. I'm not sure about how to make it into a flyable version, but the author of the MD83 on Pg60 should know how.

There are several of the AI Piper Cherokees that you can find on the various download sites, which have been made flyable in FS. Only problem is that most of them dont have a virtual view, like when you look to the sides you should see wings. etc, which is kinda a bummer, because from what I have been told there is no way to fix this particular problem, but still it is one of my favorite aircraft  ;D
