How Do you Modify a Flight Plan

I would like to modify a Flight plan that was generated by FS9. I know how to delete waypoints, but how do I add them? FYI - and IFR flight plan.

just click on the red line on the map and drag it to the desired waypoint on the map.
This is a very easy way to do it, but it requires that you know your whereabouts  ;)

Coordinates which are not marked by waypoints can be added (or edited) to the flightplan using Notepad. the only requirement is the numbering remain sequencial.
