Languages Plz Help

Postby levbien » Fri Aug 20, 2004 1:10 am

Hi, Recently when overseas I purchased FS2004 the full edition (BIG MISTAKE). When I installed it it worked fine and would be a great game, if I could understand it. It turns out that the entire menu system is in Chinese. I heard that this is simple to fix and that this is dependant on a single file, I assume "language.dll".

I would really appreciate if somebody could send me their english "language.dll" file, to levyulin@nerdshack.com . The rest of the game is in english and it is just the menus that are in chinese.

Thank you very much for your help

If you contact Microsoft, they will send you an English Language Disc for free, if you give them the Ser no. All you have to do is copy and paste to an e-mail addy they will give you. :(  :(  :(

levbien,

Hi and welcome to SimV.

One thought that you might want to consider........

Unfortunately, China is known here in the west for selling a lot of pirated software.  If you got a "deal" on that software that is clearly "too good to be true" based on the currency exchange rate and the typical prices seen in the USA and GB and other western countries....... it is possible that the program is not an actual Microsoft licensed copy.

I am not totally sure how the purchaser (as opposed to the seller) of such software is looked at if it is an honest mistake in purchasing.

Sorry to bring that subject up.

best,

:) ;) :D ;D

hi guys

here want happened to me when I 1st buy fs2004, the dealer that bought it from assured me that I was buying the "official one" even the costumer  voucher was released but when I came home and install it, disk#4 was completly wrong and made impossibe to play the fs, so  wrote an email to M$ Brasil, and they contact me, than they told me that my fsim was a pirate one and illegal, I said that hold the voucher and the serial number, so they asked me to fax them and realized was not to blame, here is the big thing, as I showed where I bought, the documentation and stuff they just send me a new one!  8) :o never expected this to happen !
So, even levbien got a pirate one but do proof was made a foll (like myself) I think M$ will act just like they did with me!

cya!
