What does everyone think of the Dreamliner 7E7 model that is floating around?  I've tried flying it but I swear it can't be accurate because I have trouble getting it off the ground.  At the end of the runway, I pull up but miles out, I've still only gained 800 feet.  

Or maybe I just don't know how to fly.  ;D

I havent had any of the problems that you are describing with it. And I have a friend who also has it. and in his words it is a DREAM to fly......
So maybe someone else can suggest a solution to resolve the problems you are having.

P.S. I do have that problem with the DC-10 but not the 7E7

It's a good idea to recalibrate your joystick regularly.

2ndly - at take off use at least 5 degrees flap, full power & - rotate (takeoff) should be possible at around 170kts. After takeoff, once established in the climb - gear up & decrease flap in stages.
With that - the 7e7 flies fine - I've just tried it again to make sure

I have not had any problems at all with mine.
I suspect you have a joystick calibration problem or perhaps you have autopilot on. Have you checked to see if the elevators appear to move full range when you move the stick up & down.
If you have not changed any key assignment try using the keyboard to test the elevators with then use the stick to see if you notice any differance. Do all of this while at the gate or during taxi. Part of a checkoff is to make sure all of your control surfaces are moving correctly.

It's hard to say how accurate the model is of an aircraft which has not been built yet but the WestWind FS9 model flies good.

Remember, when taking off in large aircraft, trim-up is required (try +6 degrees)

Clarification - wji is not one of my aliases - even if the thought processes are apparently the same  :)

Its been said, trim, flaps and power are the key to getting the big birds airborn in a hurry.

I love my 7E7! it works soo perfectly!

I don't see how it can be accurate, when there isn't even a real plane built yet
