Still using two versions.

I am running both 2002 and 2004 on my PC because I still like the PSS heavies and 767 PIC and COF for planes that work with it.  Am I strange with this or do others do that as well?

I finally stopped using FS2002 a few months ago, as there was so much good stuff coming out for FS2004, and it does have a good few nice features to it.  Still some 'gaps' in my hangar, mainly helicopters and a few large g.a. props, but I'm sure somebody out there is working hard on my behalf!

I've got both FS 2002 and FS 2004 installed on my hard drive, but FS 2002 is the program I prefer because of all the various add-ons I have installed to it over the years, scenery, nav aids, weather programs, scenery add-ons, water textures, tree types, etc, etc....as well as the classic FS 2000/FS 2002 aircraft... 8)...!
Surprisingly, I also prefer the lighter default autogen scenery textures and the default cloud textures in FS 2002... ;D...!
Having used FS '98, FS 2000, FS 2002 and FS 2004 I found the greatest improvement was between FS 2000 and FS 2002
I think FS 2002 to FS 2004 only really gave marginal improvements in certain areas... ::)...!
So, for me, FS 2002 takes pride of place... ;D...!
...and FS 2004 is sulking somewhere at the bottom of  my hard drive... ;)...!
LOL...!

Cheers all... ;D...!

Paul.

P.S. I've also got CFS 2...but I'm not really into shooting things... ;)....!
LOL...!

I'm with Fozzer - can't yet see a real reason for moving away from FS2002. Okay, some of the newer stuff can't be used with it, but it's not that big an issue really.

Well, I like the weather modeling and the gps in COF.  I especially like Don Kuhn's re-worked gps gauges that add the radio tuning.  I don't like the shakey ground textures.  But, I assume when I go from 64 meg card to 128 and add another 256 meg of ram to make an even gig that will improve.  When and if my wife ever consents that I can get some more modern ailiners COF compatible than I might go exclusively with it.  Also, if I ever aquire a corporate jet for COF good as my falcon 50.  That falcon just wont render the landing gear or close the door in COF.
