I have a couple of good planes installed in fs2002 (ie.PC-6, C185) and everything works fine. When I install them in fs9,the flaps, control surfaces and lights don't work. Is there a way around this? Or maybe a patch?

Papallon,

Hi and welcome to SimV.

Unfortunately some planes that were useable in fs2002 will not work correctly in fs2004.

Planes for fs2002 pretty much have to be constructed with GMax or to Gmax specifications.

I think you meant 'FS2004' John  ;)  :D

FS2004 *generally* requires GMax or FSDS2 construction - it really depends on how complex the model is.

& remember John's tip - when installing older aircraft - ignore the warning. I have found several old models constructed with the original 'FSDS' (which is version 1.*) work just fine in FS2004 ....

Gentlemen, thank you very much! You are legends! I tried the '[FrameCallNoWarn]' tip and everything that 's supposed to work now does, and I've learned something new in the process. Once again...Many Thanks!
