Pushback

How do I turn? I press 1 while I'm moving back, but I still go in a straight line.

Push Shift + P then immediately press 1 or 2.  1 makes you go left and 2 makes you go right.  If you don't press anything you go in a straight line. :o

It's all in the timing.  As stated above, Shift P, then immediately press 1 or 2.  I always hit them in sequence...shift, P, 1 (or 2) at a count of ONTETWOTHREE.  Works every time.   ;D

The turn won't initiate until you've backed up a fuselage length. Patience ;)

Sometimes I have noticed that even when you back up the fuselage length the aircraft still won't turn.  This doesn't happen with every aircraft, just a select few.  What aircraft are you trying to back up?

This is when slewing comes in handy.... ;D

Unless I am mistaken the type of air craft should not effect the pushback. It should turn left or right providing you have hit the keystrokes in time. Like suggested here the keys should be pressed in order without any pause inbetween.Hold the shift key than press p,1 or p,2. The plane should start turning after it backs up roughly a planes length. Give it a little time 8)
Curios though I have never tried to push back a helo I wonder what would happen. I would try it except I removed my helos.
