Jumpy Frame Rates

Postby Manreaper » Tue Jun 29, 2004 5:39 am

Hi,
For some reason now when I flyin FS2004 with the 2D panel the frame rates jump from 8 to 30 in little split seconds which makes it very difficult to fly as it is jumping around, if I go to the VC it gets smoother again. Anyone know why this might be? It dosen't just happen on one plane but most of them?
Thanks for any help.

AMD Athlon 3200+
nVidia GeForce 3 or 4
512Mb of RAM
and I am using the latest drivers for the Graphics card.
The problem has only recently started to happen but I haven't changed anything fundemental in FS?

I would recommend going up another 512 mb of RAM atleast, and installing the freeware utility under downloads at www.fs-gs.com which stops most of the behind the scenes programs running on your PC that suck up your RAM

Could also be an overheat problem with your graphics card, or virtual memory is running low.

Check for ad-ware and spyware which are probably running in the background, soaking up resources.
