FS9 will not load

I've run FS9 since the day it came out. I've had to replace my fs9.cfg a few times but that's about it as far as problems go.

Now, after using Project Majenta's GSIFR auto-install .exe, my FS9 program will not load.

I removed GAIFR, FSUIPC and my fs9.cfg and installed new nVidia G4 drivers 56.72. I now get past FS9's opening screen but then it just goes to black. It takes the three-fingered salute to get out of it.

Project Magenta got back to me, but blame everything but their autoinstalled software. They say GAIFR was NOT supposed to be run on the same machine as FS9 -- now they tell me!

Any suggestions on how to get FS9 running again?
Is a re-install of FS9 recommended?

O.K., i got it workin'
i had a fs9.cfg on my desktop and by deleting it (of course) had no effect upon the real fs9.cfg.
i used the WINXP Saerch and deleted fs9.cfg there
