DASH 7 Question

I find that with trim set to the take-off position, I am constantly running out of up elevator control when maintaining level flight or when shooting approaches.  Is it characteristic of the DASH 8 to have to apply quite a bit of up elevator trim or is the a flaw in the flight dynamics of this particular model?

Any help would be appreciated.
