DSB Tornado not working anymore?

Postby Falcon_Six_Two » Thu Mar 04, 2004 8:18 pm

Guys, my DSB Tornado won't work anymore. It still shows up in the menu, but whenever I select it, hit 'Fly Now!' and loads, it always says 'Microsoft Flight Simulator 9.0 has encountered an error and needs to close. We are sorry for any imconvience.' This is one of those 'Send Error Report' things.....I've tried re-installing the aircraft many times, but no dice. Any ideas to make it work w/o a re-install of FS9?

Thanks.

Dave Brice has updated this aircraft several times - can you just confirm the filename of the one you are installing? I'll then try to check it out & see how it runs on my system - assuming it was a version downloaded here. Occasionally others modify these military jets without the authority of the designer & sometimes these will not be correctly configured.

Thanks

Just an update...

Found the problem!

Turn out FSSound.dll was the thing behind all this. After reading a thread on this forum and finding out it was a THIRD PARTY .dll, NOT a STOCK .dll,I deleted it and tested it out...

Two minutes later, I was flying out of RAF Lakenheath... ;D

If anyone else has similar problems, then here's your solution.

I encountered the same problem with some of my aircraft also. And turns out a gauge was causing mine to do that. After I deleted that one gauge that was causing the problems it works fine, so it can also be a gauge sometimes too  :o
