Thanks Viper,  ;D

I'll see what i can come up with next. They take some time to plan and record, so keep checking for the lastest one. I like Vipers too, but next time I'll probably use some other military aircraft, or maybe a mix of them... We'll see!   ;)

Nice stuff, SkyDiver.  I see that you use Pinnacle Studio Deluxe for the editing, but out of curiosity, what did you use to capture with?

Hi Hyperion,

Thanks! ;) Included with Pinnacle is a video capture card. It allows me to record the entire screen without loosing framerates (unlike Fraps). Unfortunately, it requires a rather powerful computer to run both FS and Pinnacle at the same time, but as you can see, it makes for very fluid motion.

What I do is move FlightSim to my second monitor (TV actually) and record from there. The output from the TV is directly connected to the video capture card in the computer.

On my main monitor, i have Pinnacle Studio running. There is a small screen in the recording program so I can see exactly what the shot will look like. I have the resolution adjusted on the TV so i can 'shift' the game window around where I need it to prevent any game text from showing in the movie (text meaning the 'instant replay' sign, 'brake' sign , ATC messages, the menu, etc...). Its a great program, but like i said, requires some computing power. Otherwise, frames will drop, and you'll get really bad framerates....

Awesome videos!
The second one really shows off the kind of computer you have. If I tried to run Pinnacle and FS at the same time my computer would stand up, slap me twice, laugh at me and then self destruct.

Keep up the good work, and thanks for sharing!

Kevin

LOL!  having lots of memory really helps when running both apps...
