Spot viewpoints

Hi all,

i've noticed when going to the spot view, that some model can be approached quite closely while others are further away from the camera.

I can understand that viewing a cessna and a 747 from the same visual distance would make to much off a difference, so they'd make the distance to the 747 bigger.

But how does this happen. is this embedded in the model of the plane, and can it be changed somehow ( by not using activecamera - just the standard viewponts!)

Thanks!

You can change how close or how far you are by using zoom the + and - keys will zomm in & out. If you do not see any thing happening after pressing + or - just click anywhere on the screen while in spot view and every thing should work. 8)

Hey Omag,
I used to hate this also. There is a way to adjust this perspective somewhat, here is what I do:
Load the aircraft you want fly and select spot view. Then to fine tune the Zoom, go into the menu & select "views". In the drop down you will see a tab for "view options". In the 3D preview screen you will see some options for adjusting different view distances. Adjust the Zoom controls on the top to focus in on your "subject".

I hope this is what you were referring too, if not maybe somebody else can find it informative!!

Happy Flying!

Dave

Guess i wasn't clear on something. I mean the starting distance in the spotview. You can only make the distance greater after that with - and +, but i wanna go closer. Thanks for the replay anyway.

Omag,

You can chase the distance of the "observer viewpoint" from the object.

"VIEWS->VIEW OPTIONS->DISTANCE"

You can set the "view distance" as close as you want, and as far away as a few thousand feet.
