Hi can someone tell me is there some sort of list of landmarks and the nearest airports to that landmark that i can get hold of ?

There is no list that I am aware of, there are a few flights around some landmarks such as the grand canyon. mount rushmore and some others as well.
If you have a good atlas then look for those cities in fs and it will list any air port in that city. You can then go there and start a flight to look for the landmark.
