AC engine characteristics

How can I change the engine characteristics. I don't like how aircraft start taxying without adding any throttle or when you just barely move the throttle controll.

What is static thrust in aircrft.cfg? Is it maximum thrust or thrust at 0 throttle.

What kind of aircraft is it Roberto? Turboprop, jet etc...

If you increase the static thrust, you will make the engines stronger. Every engine is thrust rated off course. Static Thrust is measured at sea-level I believe (?).
At high altitudes the engines will lose efficiency, since approx 80% of the thrust is from the fan, and 20% from the core (CFM-56, source: 737NG cockpit companion)
High temps will also decrease engine thrust, that's why you'll see the engines as 'flat rated' to a certain temp:
Above that temp the engines will not be able to produce the given static thrust.

Try this guage and see if that doesn't help: dhc6_sw!Taxispeed

You'll have to download the DeHavilland Twin Otter to get the guage but do that and edit the guage into your panel. It lets you set the speed the airplane is to taxi at after landing and turning off the parking brakes.

Changing the engine performance will make the plane fly different as well as taxi different and it won't be near as realistic flying that plane.

If you don't want to go to the trouble of editing the panel then you can adjust the prop controls. That will help taxiing somewhat. My bet is your having problems with the default King Air. It's notorious for aggressive taxiing.  ;D

All the turbo's crawl forward, albeit some faster than others. Usually y'all find the idle levers are set to the high position by default. Pulling 'em back to low while on the tarmac will help control the crawl.

Yeah they all do it somewhat but that King Air will almost take off by it'self if you don't hold the brakes.  ;D

I can never understand why the default aircraft that are made with precise data from the manufacturers are wrong.   ???

Static thrust is the amount of thrust an engine can give ( full throttle ).
