GPS Flight Line

I was wondering, in FS2002 in the GPS a line was drawn were you flew.  Is it possible to get this line in FS2004.

i dont know whether you can get the line on the gps, but if you go to the map view, it shows a line of your track.

Yes you can get the line to show up in FS2004 gps.
In order to do this you have to change a setting in fs9.cfg file it is in the area where the  map view is.
I can not rember the name of this area but look for line of code like show_ndbs=0
                  show_flight_path=0
                  show_vors=0
etc. there are three seperate sections that have these lines in them one is for the map, one is for the gps. and one is used when you edit flight plans.
if you want to see a line in the gps you need to change the show_flight_path=0 to show_flight_path=1
0= no 1= yes so change any 0,s to a 1 will display that feature.
If this confuses you drop me a line and when I get home I can send you the exact lines and what section they sre in.

I could not find the show_flight_path=0 in the FS9.cfg file at all, all there was is show_flight_plan=1 so that cannot be the file.  Do you know exactly where it is?

There are three sections that have these lines in them on default you will nottice that alot of them are set to 0.
Just set them all to 1 and that should solve your problem.

I don't usually fly GPS flights, but I checked this out for ya....you can get the line without having to modify anything.

Set up your flight through the flight planner on your main menu and you'll be good to go.

You obviously won't see it when you don't have a planned flight laid out, because the GPS doesn't know where you're trying to go.

This is exactly the way it reads in my FS9.cfg file.
This section is about halfway down the file and has the [FlightPlanMap] heading

after you make a plan using flightplanner this will allow you to see your flight path and all of your waypoints as well. If you wish to see the victor ways and jet ways just change the show_jet=1 and show_victor=1
1 means on and 0 means off'
