I just installed the aircraft. But none of the guages show up in the 2d  view. I think others have had the same problem. How do I get the guages to show up. In the panel cfg. It shows using the [fltsim]
alias=b737_400\panel

Plus when I did fly it .  It seemed awful heavy. Took forever to get up speed. Is that normal ?

I am not sure about your first problem, but as far as it "feeling" heavy, I would say that it would be the norm. Do check and make sure that you are not over weight with fuel or payload. That will make for a long take off, or a very short flight.

I also find that it takes evey bit of my "home" airport`s 12k foot runway to get airborn.
I tried it several times without full fuel

Sounds to me like you got an anvil with wings. :(
There are several things that could cause this from bad flight dynamics to tuning the aircraft performance data. You have to decide if it is really worth the effort  ::).
It could be a quick fix or one that is going to drive you up the wall. I do not mind checking out the minor things but if that does not work than it is off to the airplane grave yard it goes. I am not going to knock my self out trying to get a plane to fly right. 8)
