Problem Loading default B747-400

Postby garymbuska » Fri Apr 09, 2004 4:47 pm

I am having a strange problem that so far i can not figure out ??? When ever I try to select the default B747-400 FS stops responding I have checked all other aircraft I have and this and one other B747-300 are the only ones that I can not select  they come up in the window showing them but when you press ok the game stops responding and I have to end the task. I tried replace the default B747 with the one off of the disk1 and no luck. I also renamed the original FS9 cfg file and let it build a new one no luuck there. I am not sure when the last time was that they worked I rember changing a program that altered the view you see when in the select aircraft screen I do not remember if I used the B747s after that. I wonder if that is my problem  ???
Has anyone else ran across this problem  :(

Hagar I can not rember which program it was. It had to to with the view of the aircraft while in the aircraft selection window.
I do not have any problems with the B747-300 or any other planes I have and I have a good bit I am going to look into what file I replaced when I made that change on Sat. 4/10/04. I will let you know what I find It might take me a while but beleive me I will find it. :o It is the only thing that makes any sense But do not know why it only seems to effect the B747-400 only :P. I think that is strange ::)

I wound up uninstalling and reinstalling FS2004 :( I do not have a clue as to what happened. I am slowly adding aircraft and scenery back checking as I go I make a new restore point each time I am successful in ading aircraft or scenery. This is one you chalk up to head scratching.
I wish I knew what had caused it if I get lucky or unlucky depending on how you look at it and should stumble accross the reason I will be sure to post so anybody else does not pull their hair out trying  to figure it out. :-[
