Step one after you uninstall FS you must make sure to remove the old folder as the uninstall will leave files there , and if you reinstall you are basically wasting time. I would recomend that if you used the default location to put fs9 in that you get rid of all of the files in that location so when you go to reinstall it tells you that the file does not exist do you want to create it. This is the only way to make sure you get a clean install.
One file it leaves is the fs9cfg file this is in a different location check the posts on frequently asked questions and you will find a post as to where to find the fs9 cfg file . You must make sure this file is deleted after the uninstall
Or you can search for it on your system make sure you look for hidden files when you search The name of the file is "FS9.cfg" no quotes needed
