When I load FS2004 I get a sound.dll error which asks if it should load the appropriate files and i click yes and it seems to work fine...what does that error mean?

It means that the file was origanally for FS2002.
In order to stop getting this message you need to put the following in you FS2004 cfg file
             [Old Modules]
fssound.dll=1

be sure you list any old modules you might have otherwise you will keep getting that message
