default internal views

Postby pgilbert » Tue Apr 06, 2004 1:39 am

Would anyone know how to get rid of the annoying internal rear right and rear left views in the default fs9 aircraft? I have added some add on panels for my b737/747 aircraft but if i  pan rear left or right i can still see the old aircraft windows (know what i mean?) which are really annoying! I have tried the going through the panel.cfg but there is no way i can get rid of the old window outlines. This is the only thing which bothers me about msfs. Their panels are really ugly compared to some great freeware and payware panels. I like to see the wing behind me and not some ugly blocks which are supposed to be windows. Can anyone help?
Thanx.

It sounds to me that the 3rd party panels you're using are the old FS2000-style with extra static view windows. These are fine for aircraft without a VC or DVC. The FS9 default aircraft have a full DVC which is part of the aircraft visual model. This cannot be removed.

The best thing would be to find more suitable panels or modify the ones you have to remove the extra view windows.
