helo trim???

Ok , so stupid question time. Learning to fly helos, both bell and robinson seem to pitch forward as soon as they leave the ground. Is there any trim on a chopper, or is it all quick reflexes.

In FS9, none that I know of.  It is a matter of pushing the stick forward or backward, left and right.  Moving the colective up and down.

You are right, you have to be quick sometimes.  Over correcting is a big problem, I am still trying not to do it.

go into the assignments menu and look for "pitch"

Assign a button to pitch back and forward (or up and down, forgot what its called). Now if they go forward too much, hit pitch back about 10 times and your helo should fly perfectly. when you want to hover, press pitch forward 5 times, and to land bring it back 5 times.

if you dont want to deal with changing assignments, you can still use the trim on the number pad that youd use to fly airplanes. just remember youre going to have to hold down the trim for a long time, like at least 20 clicks.

Kamov certainly has trim... they can trim it in a hover and let go the controls

You can always use one of the helicopters that has auto hover.
Really makes it a lot easier to get the really big copters off of the ground or landing !

I really do not seem to have a problem with the Robinson. It is one of my most favorite ones to fly. You might turn down the sensitivity to your joystick some and see if that helps you some. Helos are a lot more sensitive. And most people have a tendency to over compensate. Just remember to make small movements on your joystick.....
