In case you have never heard of them, do a web search for "Doherty's Difficult and Dangerous Approaches".

These are volumes (about 10 flights per volume) of approaches that are set up to be a bit of a challenge because of the situation or because of the particular airport.  It is a great way to see some interesting airports and scenery.

I am not sure about how many "volumes" there are ...... but I have found numbers in the 20's.

They are typically about 500-800 K downloads....so pretty fast.  You just extract the zip files and place them in your "Flights" folder.  Simple.

They are a lot of fun.  Give them a try.

best,

One of my favorites is the King Fahd II on VOlume 17 of the series.  It is a night "heavy" landing into Saudi Arabia....... just the stars and the airport lights....... no city to reference.

It is quite beautiful.

Another one I like is the Leqarjet into Alpnac, Switzerland one off Volume 21.  Scenic and a slightly tough approach.  First you have to find the airstrip  ;).
