Hi, one of my friends have this game and when he downloaded a new water texture, and put the water texture on high, it goes down to low. He got Nvidia MX 440 .......Anyone have any solutions?

the Nvidia MX440 does not support all water effects in fs...

i have the same video card and i got the same problem, aparently some of the functions, like the reflection and animation won't work with the MX440 models...

bummer....

FS2k used to have the same problem. Try the 2k2 fix, it might just work.....

Add the following lines to your diplay.cfg file at the end of the GeForce 2 section:

NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440
[000010DE:00000171]
DriverValidate2=1

does it work? if it does, how do u add that line?

Do a search for display.cfg then open it.  It should open in notepad or wordpad if it is to big.  Then look for the GF2 section and add the lines ozzy posted.

It does not work, but if I am wrong and worked for someone else with MX 440, please say so.
