I'm having problems with the Seattle area

Whenever I try to fly, create, load a flight using RW weather in the Seattle area, the simulator crashes.

If I set the weather to clear, I can fly in Seattle without any problems so far. I can download RW weather and fly other places, just not in Seattle.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Well, Microsoft is based in Seattle.  Since nothing ever goes wrong with Windows, probably nothing can go ever wrong with SEA weather either.

UseFSMETAR instead of the crappy MS weather

Andrew,
I've been experiencing that problem as well. I thought it was a problem on my end. I re-installed FS 9, and have spent the last hour on the M.S. Knowledge base trying to find an answer. I thought it was a scenery problem, and would have never thought that it could be the RW weather. So, in a round-about way you have answered my question, I'll try it with out RW weather.

I have the same problems too. One time I flew out of KSEA to KATL and I just got over the Cascade mountains and I was sent to desktop. Also happend to another flight to Seoul. The weather in Seattle for both flights was bad so I think it might be the weather station in that area during strong weather conditions because it works fine when its a little calmer.
