Bad Graphics

Bad Graphics
The leading edge of the wings, fuselage, mountains etc. are all jagged like the edge of a saw. We tried all the settings in 2004 and also in 2002. By increasing the resolutions it helps a bit but the saw tooth edges are still ther only smaller. It is a new comutor with the following.

ATI Rad,o 9600XT 128MB AGP
SOYO KT 400 Dragon 400MHZ DDR
AMD Athlon XP 2600+
Transcend 512 MB PC 3200 DDR 400
Maxtor 120 GB 7200

Does anyone know how to smooth things out.

there's a checkbox marked "anti-aliasing" on the hardware tab oin the display settings menu

turning that on will smooth out the jagged edges, no matter what resolution you have on...

it has a big impact on the game's performance, but with a good video card, it shouldn't be a problem...

if it still doesn't work, maybe the anti-aliasing function in your graphics card is disabled... you should be able to enable it through the video properties menu

Turn AA off in game and turn it on in the control panel.  Set it to 4x.

I would like to thank everyone for there help on this problem so far. I am not that great on computors and I am trying to follow the instructions to fix the problem. My next question is .... when I went into control  panel I couldn't find video properties or where to set  the AA to 4X. I went into display and also systems and went through all the tabs but I couldn't spot anything. Please be patient with me as I am trying to learn this stuff and I appreciate everyones help. I think I will need a step by step pointer to get me in the right area.
Thankyou

Right click on desktop,
click properties,
then click settings tab (at top),
then the Advanced... button.
Click the tab that says 3D (again at the top),
click the custom button,
then click application preference off,
and set the slider to 4x.
