I just upgraded my graphics card today, (AsusV9520/FX5200) and now I have no 2D or virtual cockpit, only the scene out the window. Tried a re-install but the uninstall won't work. (What's THAT about??) FS2k2 and others seem to be OK except for a rudder problem in 2k2 which predates the card install. I'll appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks, people !!

Try the newest video card driver thats out for that card.the ones that come with it on the disk are no good uninstall that driver and put in the newest driver and that should fix it up for ya.and if you really want to uninstall fs2004 put in disk1 and click uninstall.but you would have to have auto run checked on the the cd rom to get the menue to come up.

Hi, Atlanta
Thanks, latest drivers now installed. Fixed the problem with the stock a/c. Still got the problem with the imported DHC-6 (Skybus). And can't uninstall no matter what; the file path is wrong - yadayadayada. Ball is now in M$ Support court. But maybe I should be in the Tech forum now? All advice heeded with thanks.

Hello dodger.good to hear you got some of it fixed.but now some downloaded aircraft dont have any views except the panel in frount.i wasnt shure if you knew that or not.so unless you know for shure that plane in question should have views besides the panel view.then you may not have a problem with that.and it could be normal not to see anything except the panel.but if you cant uninstall the sim with disk 1.then that does sound like a problem for microsoft to help you handel.good luck with it.

Hi, KATL                                                                             Just a note to let all know that the Fs9 program had become corrupted somehow. A complete, step-by-step deletion of individual files was necessary, up to and including registry files. One of those was missing to start with. No idea what caused it, but the sim is up and running fine now. Haven't re-imported any a/c yet however, so there's still more to learn. (M$ support came through for me with no delay and very detailed instructions)                                                                     Paul
