Joystick problem

Postby fellowtraveller » Fri Mar 05, 2004 9:08 am

Quite often when I go to full power at take off one or more of the engines does not respond to increased throttle and I have to drag them up with the mouse.  Happens during taxi also sometimes.  I have a logitech wingman 3d joystick.  Do I just need a better joystick or is there another solution.  Thanks  :)

You may want to try and calibrate the joystick and see if any improvement but if that dont work then you might want to get a new joystick.

If your joystick connects with a USB connection, you may want to unplug it and then plug it back in. Those USB's have a habit of getting dirting and not making a good connection.

Hit the E+1&2 all at the same time this should get all of them working with the throttle.
The thing is, you are still a live when they start to eat you.

Do you use a manual start up proceedure or other single engine control?

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
