Being a newbie to FS and this forum I will have to show my ignorance.  What is FS9?  (I have FS 2004)   :-[

FS9 is just another name for FS2k4/A Century or Flight. (ACoF)

Not sure where you would find this. I think maybe Flight Simulator '95 was FS1 or something along those lines. Flight Simulator '98 was FS2 and so on. Not sure of the numbering there but you get the idea. This is supposedly the 9th flight sim put out by microsoft.

At least it's the ninth flight sim since they started counting. I have an old version of MS Flight Sim that was first designed to run on the Tandy Color Computer. That one's a real laugh. Wish I could get it to run on something more modern just so I could post some screen shots of "then and now".  Green lines drawn on a black screen. That's it.  ;D

This site gives the history of Flight Simulator since FS1 in 1979. http://simflight.com/~fshistory/fsh/versions.htm

FS98 = FS 6.1
CFS1 = FS 6.5
FS2000 = FS 7.0
CFS2 = FS 7.5
FS2002 = FS 8.0
FS2004 = FS 9.0

Plus - the program installs itself into:

c:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9

So no matter what name(s) marketing calls it, it's FS9.

Green lines on a black screen on a Tandy Color computer!  On the TRS-80 it was white lines on a black screen.  I recall a 747 that I just could not get to taxi straight to save my life.

If you're really interested in an emulator I found this after a short Yahoo search.

Don't know anything at all about it.

i remember the old Red Green and Blue Flight simulator my dad purchased for our tandy 1000 some time around 1985-87 ish? there was some sort of bi-plane combat mode you could put the sim unto, it would be basically a 172 looking panel with a WW1 style gun sight attached. you would fly aroudn a very basic land scape and shoot down little stick figure bi-planes. I played that thing nearly every day as a kid, guess i logged around 5,000 hours on that thing!!
