Desktop screen size vs FS2004 screen size.

Note to the moderators... Please be kind and leave this post for the day. I know it should be moved. I first posted it in the Tweaking & Overclocking forum. But no one checks it out...   :-/

Hello all, first I must say I'm no computer wizard, please be gentle with me.

Just bought and installed a Samsung LCD screen (19") which allows me to have a 1280 x 1024 screen resolution. I have 1 gig of RAM and a FX5200 video card installed. Windows XP is installed (SP1).

The problem.

Whe I start FS2004 with the desktop screen resolution that I have chosen (1280 x 1024), the settings of FS2004 still show 800 x 600. Fine, changed the screen resolution within FS2004 to 1280 x 1024... Result: the window is so small! What am I missing here?

Hi J-F. If you're running FS9 in Windows mode the windows can be minimised/resized as with any other program. The FS9 display resolution settings are advanced graphics options for Full Screen mode. This should not affect the size of the "window". Alt + Enter toggles between Windows & Full Screen mode.

You might need to adjust the display size of the

Thanks Doug, makes sense. Did not try the maximized window mode, just the full size mode. You bet I'll try this tonight.
