can't install fs 2004

hi all, i guess this is my first post, but anyway, i have fs 2004 and when i put the first disc in, i click and install and all of that and at put 12% it says error occured, low memory or file is in use or corrupted cabinet file, is there any way to get around it to install it i really want to play the game. help would be defentely appreciated

What are you system specs. If they are a good bit over the minimum continue to below:
Scandisk and defrag your comp.
Get rid of any spyware, this is an excellent program:

my system specs are athlon xp 2600 @215fsb with bfg 5950 ultra and 512mb ram, one thing i've noticed is that when i try to extract the cab file manually with win rar, it says it's corrupt, could it be the entire disc is corrupt?

Have you tried cleaning the disc?
