Nvidia Control Panel

Postby aussiewannabe » Tue Jul 13, 2021 2:45 pm

Pardon me while I brush off the cobwebs as I haven't posted on Simviation in quite awhile.

A couple of weeks ago I replaced an old 128MB video card that went bad on my mom's computer and replaced it with a EVGA 210 video card. While I still haven't built a computer for myself, I uploaded FS2004 on this computer so that I can start making ai flight plans with airline flight times I've created on Excel over the past couple of months.

Since this is my first Nvidia video card, I've been using the Nvidia Control panel and going through the program settings.

My only problem is seeing the dreaded jaggies on the plane :(

I don't expect using this card for FS2004 permanently, but I would like to gain some experience in using the Nvidia control panel when I built a PC with a Nvidia video card. Right now I want to use it to plan ai flights for my own ai traffic.

The one thing I'm pleased with is tweaking the fs9.cfg file. I keep an updated copy of it on an external hard drive.

DirectX 9.0c installed

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

An update:

Watched a YouTube video on FS settings and it mentioned a program called SweetFX. I downloaded it and place it in the fs9 folder. Started FS up and the jaggies are now gone both in the aircraft preview and while watching it on the runway.

Would still like to get some feedback on my settings.
