NAV/GPS Switch

Some aircraft have a NAV/GPS switch. With autopilot on and NAV/GPS switch selected to NAV the aircraft will follow the selected VOR track. When selected to GPS it should follow the GPS flight plan but it does not. What am I missing here?

That seems to be the answer. Thanks Dave.

Not all aircraft have the Nav button but use VOR LOCK instead but it appears to do the same thing.
Myself I am still getting use to my fleet of Airbuses that do not have a course selection gauge. It picks up the appropriate course from the ILS signal. I know it sounds crazy but it works. Whenever i use the show flight path for landing the squares are perfectly aligned with the runway. This is not the case for aircraft that have the course selection gauge if this is not set correctly there is no telling where the path will lead you.

NAV and VOR LOC do exactly the same, it's just a different name for the same thing. :P
