Where are the ARCHIVED ship files

Postby stephan » Wed Oct 08, 2014 9:50 am

I got this Pirates of the Caribbean bug going in my head lately and thought I'd download a 3 mast ship.I had seen them in Simviation before, and even downloaded a couple smaller ones some time back. But now, when I come to download one,I see it is listed as "posted by archive",and I cant get it downloaded. The one I was interested in was frigateV27-12-05.zip .Any one have any ideas?

I tried to Google that and from what I saw I would say that the file has been removed from the server. I would ask PETE about this maybe he can shed some light on this.

It's a dead link. http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=frigateV27-12-05.zip&categoryId=

Perhaps this topic could be moved to Site Problems & Broken Links so Pete can see it & hopefully fix it.

Meanwhile you can download it from the old site --> http://simviation.com/fs2004misc16.htm

If you were referring to me posting 6.5 times per day for the past 14 years, then bud, something is wrong with their counter,LOL ! I have had the pleasure of Simviation for only around 4-6 years or something like that. Never really kept tabs. Didnt even know about a flight simulator being available for civilians until my brother gave me his late father in laws PC and saw he had FS 2002 on it. I fooled with it a bit...fell in love...bought a Saitek stick...was even more in love...bought FS9 and a Saitek 52 stick, and was elated...bought FSX...used it as clay pigeons...and re-established my loyalty to FS9. But nope...their counter has to be wrong. 8-) ( Stephan / "Altitude With Attitude" ) :icon-twisted:

Fixed - thanks Doug!

It was one of the files with an odd character that the new server rejected in our server move last year. Result blank description and title fields.

Just edited the description/title and hey presto!
