A glitch in the scenery or virtual mem issue?

Posted: Tue Dec 24, 2013 10:13 amA friend got this message while flying thru Brazil. Was wondering if anyone knows what causes these kinds of error messages, when he has 90 gig free on his HD. Wondering if his virtual memory needs increased,or if there are certain scenery in FS9 that have glitches. I myself was flying from KCLE to KRKS on autopilot in a HondaJet v4 and while sipping my coffee, the sim simply shut down and went to Desktop. But my problem doesn't concern me.The one for my friend does. Here is his error... "Your computer has run out of available memory.Flight Simulator will now exit. You may not have enough free space on your HD.Run disk cleanup..."yada yada. Hope someone has a solution. Thanks y'all.

...! // AND FINALLY... when you said "...it will allow your FS to use 4gigs of ram instead of just 2.",is that physical RAM,or virtual RAM ? I know my questions are probably ones that kids would know the answers to,but my mind doesnt grasp some things very easily anymore, hehehe (and note, that when I used CAPITLIZED lettering,I wasn't web shouting...just making my words separate and obvious. Thanks for the comments and hope to get answers to my questions. If I fit the requirements,I too will download this patch.

I have read conflicting remarks about that so I am really not sure......If you are running 32bit windows then google it and you should be able to get some clarity on what to do to get it going.....but if you are running 64bit it is REALLY simple.
