hi there i am knew to fs2004 after a large gap

i used to have a joystick but for the life of me i cannot find it anywhere

i have a steering wheel for my ps3 driving games its has a usb port so works on pc's as well

its this wheel here http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/p ... 129212.htm which is a thrustmaster wheel with pedal

a few years ago when i has fs98 i used a steering wheel to control the plane can i use the one i have just now for fs2004

You will require a joystick suitable for a Flight Simulator.....eg a TWIST Joystick....>>>>

This is important/vital to control the RUDDER on an aircraft.

A "Yoke and Pedals" arrangement is a much more expensive alternative.

Not sure how a steering wheel would work as it only has one axis (ailerons). You need at least two (aileron & elevator) to control an aeroplane.

As Hagar explains...

You will need a "Flight Joystick" to control the following aircraft movements:

Ailerons....(Banking) move stick left/right.
Elevators...(Increase/decrease altitude) move stick forward/backward.
Rudder...(Coordinated banking/turns) twist stick left/right.

Throttle(s) ...engine speed/thrust.

...and a parachute, for difficult situations...

they joystick i had before was not a full flight one i usd the keys on the keyboard to control the rudder

as for the wheel what i done before was i used the steerign wheel to turn the plane left right as for the up and down i used the pedals to control the accent/decent

the throtles were used by using the flap gears on the wheel

its alright i will just used the wheel as before thanks
