California in the Olden Days!...

Postby Fozzer » Mon May 20, 2013 5:31 am

.... :D ...!

Just spent a couple of enjoyable days touring various California Airfields, as they appeared in the 1950's and 1960's...>>>>

For FS 2004.

Its surprising just how sparse they were then, in buildings, etc, compared to how built-up and busy they are now, in today's hectic (FS Default) traffic!

Two different eras cant be selected/ticked in the Flight Sim Add-on Scenery list: either 1959 or 1962 (but NOT both at the same time!... ;) ...).

The old buildings, scenery, airfield objects, and aircraft, are dotted around the Airfields as they appeared in the olden days!

Worth trying for a spot of nostalgia....
(..and you cant beat a spot of nostalgia now and again...trust me!..).... :D ...!

Paul...somewhere in Southern California, in an airfield, many years ago!... ...!

I would take some screen shots, but I am far too busy enjoying myself!... ...!

Nice find Paul. They also have a package for Africa. 105 airports throughout the continent. Sounds like a tour...

Many, many thanks for the update, Tom!

I'm having loads of fun touring around my old familiar California haunts (FS '98/FS 2000/FS 2002/FS 2004) to view the difference in the various airfields....(Been touring around there every day for the past 15 years!)
Nice to see the new/old Burbank Airport...and not far from Burbank Film Studios!

I'm hopping around them all!

You have all made a wonderful job of the project. Well done Tom!

Paul....SOCAL Explorer!... ...!
